Madurai Branch was opened on 1st April, 1962 in a small Rented premises in Work shop Road near Tamil Sangam Road. During 1987-88, 34cents of land was purchased at Postal and Telegraph Nagar Road with the efforts of Senior members and Past Chairmen. The Foundation Stone was laid down by our then President of ICAI CA. R. Balakrishnan on 22nd August 1987. The Ground Floor was constructed during 1997 and the same was opened by the then President of ICAI CA.T. Viswanath on 6th January, 1997. Total construction area of the Ground Floor is 2497 Sq.ft out of which about 2000 Sq.ft is the fully Air-Conditioned Meeting Hall.

The First Floor of the Building construction was commenced during 2001 and was opened on 11th February, 2003 by our then President of ICAI CA.R. Bupathy. The First Floor Consists of Computer Lab, Library Room, Chairman Room and Secretary Room. The Computer Lab was converted in to ITT Lab and the same was inaugurated by the then President of ICAI CA. T.N. Manoharan

Our Madurai Branch serves the members of Dindigul, Madurai, Ramanathapuram, Sivagangai, and Theni Districts and the number of members is around 550.The Students strength is about 3500. Madurai Branch is the 2nd largest branch in Tamilnadu.

Foundation stone for the New Building was laid by then ICAI President CA G Ramaswamy during August, 2011 and the project was completed in a record time of within 100 days. New Building was inaugurated by then ICAI President CA. G. Ramaswamy on 13.01.2012.
